Located just 15 km from Sekenani Gate, the main entrance to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Enkitege Maasai Cultural Village offers visitors an authentic opportunity to experience the rich traditions and daily life of the Maasai people.
Our village was established with one clear mission: to empower Maasai women through cultural tourism and community development. We are a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) with 36 Maasai women who work together to preserve our cultural heritage while creating sustainable livelihoods for their families.
We warmly welcome travelers visiting the Maasai Mara who wish to experience genuine Maasai culture beyond a traditional game drive. Whether you spend a few hours with us or choose to stay overnight, every visit offers an unforgettable cultural immersion.
For guests seeking a deeper experience, we offer village stays where you can live as the Maasai do. Sleep on a traditional cowhide bed, participate in daily village activities, enjoy authentic Maasai hospitality, and learn firsthand about our customs, values, and way of life.
During your visit, you can take part in a variety of traditional activities, listed below.
Every visit directly supports the women of our village, helping preserve Maasai culture while improving the lives of local families through sustainable tourism.
